Volcano – Hot Springs

A good choice for anyone to visit the volcano of Santorini.

The boat departs daily from the old port of Fira at 11.00 am . After a 10-minute short trip, the boat arrives at the port of Erinia which is the name of the small bay at the active volcano. The boat will remain there for 1 hour and 15 minutes and if you like, you can follow the small path to reach the top where the active craters are located.

After your return back to the boat, we depart for the island of Palaia Kameni where the hot springs are located, the famous natural mud baths, which have been created after the volcanic eruptions. In the small bay of St.Nickolas, the water temperature varies from 30 to 35 degrees Celcius, as it constantly mixes with the normal seawater.
The ship remains here about 30 minutes and you have the opportunity for swimming. There is no beach, so you need to climb down the stairs of the boat (or jump). You have to swim about 30 meters until the spot of the Hot Springs. After the swimming at the thermal waters, the boat returns back to the same port at 14.00.



3 Islands Trip Sailing Wooden Boat

A tour to the islands of caldera. Our trip that departs from the old port in Fira at 11:30 with destination the Volcano, a distance of just 10 minutes from the bay of Fira.

Your stay there is for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, to walk up to the volcano to the active craters, is about 20 minutes through a walking path. It is worth to reach the top because when you arrive there, if you scratch the surface you will see steam coming out, smell the sulfur and also take pictures.

After the visit to Nea Kameni, the boat continues to the island of Palaia Kameni where the Hot Springs are located. The boat anchors close to the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, it lowers down a ladder in the water and from there you can swim a distance of about 30 meters to get to the famous mud baths of Palaia Kameni for which are believed to have beneficial abilities for the skin. The water temperature is 30-35 degrees Celsius but it constantly mixes with seawater. The boat remains there for about 30 minutes for swimming. There is no beach on the small island, but you where you can stay for a while.

In continuation of the tour, the boat sails to the island of Thirassia. You have 2 hours free time to swim in the crystal waters of Korfos or have launch in traditional taverns who serve local dishes of the island. You can go on foot or on donkeys in the village of Manolas, which is very picturesque with narrow streets and nice view to Santorini and worth the visit. After the 2 hour pleasant break on the island of Thirassia, we return back to the old port sailing near the volcanic cliffs of Oia to take pictures of the unique scenery.
The disembarkation is at 17:15 in the picturesque old port of Fira.

Sunset Cruise

A peaceful romantic trip with the essence of a cruise to be unforgettable is the below excursion. It departs from the old port of Fira at 15:30 with a traditional sailing boat.

After a short trip of 10 minutes it reaches the small port of Nea Kameni , where the active volcano is. Your time there is for about 1 hour and 15 minutes where you can walk up and visit this wild landscape with the different volcanic rocks and the active craters of the volcano , where there is still smoke coming out and keenly smells sulfur.

To continue , the boat will depart for the island of Palaia Kameni , where the hot springs are located. Inside the small bay of Agios Nikolaos the water temperature is 30-35 degrees Celcious but it constantly mixes with seawater. The boat stays for about 30 minutes , enough time since there is no beach , but you have to climb down a ladder of the boat into the sea and swim a distance of about 30 meters to the interior of the small bay , where the mud baths are.

After swimming at the hot springs the boat will start a sail around the caldera where you can take magnificent pictures of the landscape and the houses that literally hang on the edge of the cliff , in combination with the beautiful colors of the sunset. On a wooden boat with sails , listening to nice music and enjoying a glass of local wine.
After the sunset the boat returns back to the old port of Fira.

Thalassa Sunset Cruise

Board the “Thalassa” in the afternoon at the picturesque Old Port of Fira or at the main port of Santorini “Athinios ” and depart to the small port of Nea Kameni volcano for a magical Santorini sunset cruise. Upon arrival at the volcano our guide leads you up to explore the rim of the volcanic crater from where most of the volcanic layers are visible on the impressive steep inner walls of the caldera.

Leaving the volcano our sailing boat heads to the Hot Springs and their thermal sulfurous waters, where you can let yourself indulge in the natural-warm and soothing sea.

During the remainder of our voyage, our sailing boat docks close to Thirassia, the second largest of the complex of islands forming the caldera, giving you the opportunity to escape into the crystal clear and refreshing blue waters. In the meantime the crew prepares a delicious BBQ buffet and you’ll enjoy the renowned white local wine.

Next we depart for the northern tip of Santorini and the town of Oia with its two small fisherman ports, Ammoudi and Armeni. From our sailing boat we have a unique vantage point for viewing and photographing the lovely traditional settlement of Oia. Here you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. At this point we set sails and head back to Fira/Athinios as the sun magically sets into the sea.

The duration of the cruise is approximately 5 hours.
